“Deep time is not an abstract, distant prospect, but a spectral presence in the everyday. The irony of the Anthropocene is that we are conjuring ourselves as ghosts that will haunt the very deep future.” (D Farrier, The Atlantic 2016)

This project explores human attunement with the more-than-human, specifically with geostrata. We seek to develop technologies and speculative strategies for deep listening to and with the geological.

We are researching infrasonics, frequencies, vibrations and the sound conductivity of human bone, in order to “listen” to rocks and to make perceptible the undifferentiated relationship between geological and human.
